Mom led a very fulfilling life . . .she gave her everything.

Looking back . . . when Mommy and Daddy ran a printing company on dowdswell street . . .

I remember on Fridays afternoons I would go to the bank with her and she would negotiate payroll with the bank manager . . . these were all the things that I witnessed with her. Dad was the the driver of the business but she was the engine . . .she made it happen. Make no mistake it takes 2 to make a small business happen. As the only child at that time I witnessed all of the pain of making that business work. On Friday night after they paid the staff, many a time there was only a few dollars left . . .when I say a few . . .I mean a few $10 or $15. Just enough for us to share a 2 piece box of Kentucky Fried and go to a drive in theater on Prince Charles Drive and I would hop in the back of  of the VW fastback that we had . . .because we could only afford to pay for 2.

I remember on Fridays afternoons I would go to the bank with her and she would negotiate payroll with the bank manager . . . these were all the things that I witnessed with her. Dad was the the driver of the business but she was the rear end . . .she made it happen. Make no mistake it takes 2 to make a small business happen. As the only child at that time I witness all of the pain of making that business work. We would go to a drive in theater and I would hop in the back of the VW and all that we had was a 2 piece kentucky fried chicken snack. And boy  . . . was it ever good. Those were the good old days.
